Brantford Ontario Newborn Photography Studio

I love my studio. Although its at my home, its not inside my home, thank goodness because with 4 kids, I could never clean well enough to have sessions inside it! I dont know how some photographers do it. My studio is attached to my home and I just love it out there. In a house of 4 kids, sometimes I like to just go out and sit in the peace and quiet. It has beautiful light shining in, and I can just sit and think up ideas for my next session. Its still a work in progress, but its getting there. We finally have a bathroom for my clients, and a t.v for the dads to keep them busy during long sessions. One of these days I plan on taking behind the scene shots of a session in here. I have a little bit of a prop, hat and headband obsession…like most newborn photographers do. As I was taking pictures of a stack of hats, I was thinking about how much I love the colours of my hats. I thought, I know my preferences might not be everyone’s taste, but thats ok. I dont want to be everyone’s photographer either. I want people to come to me because they love my work, style, colour choices ect. Of course I like to think everyone likes my choice of colours…I do spend lots of time selecting blankets and hats in specific colours. Colours that will work well in any clients home. No one will ever have to worry about getting an image of their new baby in a bright fuchsia pink blanket and huge over the top flower to go in their blue living room. I love neutrals, pastels, grey tones, muted colours, deep colours….colours from nature. I think these things compliment a fresh new baby best.
